ABOUT THIS SPEAKER
Ryan Hansz (he/him) is a senior designer and researcher at Nava PBC, where he works on Nava Labs' Caseworker Empowerment Toolkit: open source AI tools built with caseworkers who connect families to public benefits.
His work includes co-design with frontline staff, prototyping voice and staff-facing AI workflows, and figuring out how to test tools when nobody knows yet what “good“ looks like.
Before Nava, he worked at the NYC Mayor’s Office of Economic Opportunity and Kaiser Permanente. He lives in Ridgewood, Queens, with two black cats.
