TALK
Heart-centered sensemaking
The systems we design will either protect people’s dignity or slowly erode it, and most designers never realize which one they’re a part of until it’s too late. Detecting organizational failure early starts by asking the right questions to protect human worth, not corporate satisfaction.
In this talk, Jasmine will share tools to help designers do just that. You’ll walk away with:
A mindset shift from “How do we center the human?” to “How do we honor human worth?”
A framework that gives people a concrete vocabulary for what it actually looks like when a system is failing its people.
A diagnostic tool on how to measure an organization’s health in a way that turns a moral question into a design audit.
ABOUT THIS SPEAKER
Jasmine Ibrahim (she/her) is the founder of WithJasmine, where she helps purpose-driven organizations close the gap between what they’re building and how the world receives it.
Half strategist, half translator, she turns dense data into heart-centered story and visuals that do the heavy lifting. A decade of working with nerds has taught her one thing: the future belongs to people who can think clearly, feel deeply, and say it well. Jasmine is also a resident at the Sensemakers Club, where she studies how meaning moves through institutions and communities.
As a mom of three girls, her version of the future is where meaning favors the feminine. And she believes that that is only possible when we put our hearts on the line, bringing deeply held fears and truths forward with compassion.
